On Wednesday, Barney Simon announced a donation of support to Atherstone Provincial Park.
Aquadam together with Jacaranda 94.2 is donating a water reservoir to the Atherstone Provincial Park. Atherstone is home to a substantial black and white rhino population in Limpopo.
The reservoir is called a Smart Tank (now called Rhino Tank) it is a DIY tank that can easy be installed by 2 persons. (Aqaudam will deliver the tank and do the installation)
The tank can store 71 000 lt water and comes with a 50 mm outlet pipe. The value of the tank is R 28 000 which makes it the most cost effective water storage solution. These tanks are extremely popular among farmers and require almost no soil preparations. The tank is fitted with a PVC liner in the inside to make it waterproof, the water is not in contact with the tank shell and makes the life expectation of the tank so much longer. The Smart tank is so strong and durable that we will name it a Rhino Tank and Aquadam will donate R100 of the sale of every Rhino Tank towards the Rhino Project. Jacaranda 94.2 will also be sending the Atherstone Park anti poaching unit staff for specialized anti poaching training in the new year.
