Aquadam
Steel Tanks International is a South African manufacturer and installer of
engineered steel water tanks, operating from Waltloo, Pretoria since 1992. Over
three decades, we have supplied and installed tanks for municipal bulk water
schemes, mining operations, agricultural irrigation, commercial developments,
and residential applications across South Africa and into sub-Saharan Africa.
We
manufacture four tank systems:

(Zincalume flat panel with liner),

Tank™ (Chromadek residential)
Engineered to match the coating specification, structural load, and risk profile of each project.
We
do not compete on price. We compete on engineering, coating specification, and
installation control. When water storage failure carries operational,
financial, or regulatory risk, specification matters more than purchase price.

What Aquadam does
Aquadam has manufactured bolted steel water storage since 1992, from a factory at 311 Alwyn Street, Waltloo, in Pretoria. Tanks are rolled, coated and packed in house, then erected on site by a network of certified installation partners across all nine provinces and into neighbouring countries.
The business is built around one idea: water storage is an infrastructure decision, not a purchase. A tank that fails does not fail quietly — it takes production, supply or compliance with it. So the specification starts with what the water is and what happens if the storage is lost, and works back to the steel.
Four tank ranges, one engineering approach
Rhino Tank
Carbon S355 steel with fusion bonded epoxy on both faces, engineered to AWWA D103. No liner to age or puncture. Specified for municipal, mining and fire duty.
Smart Tank
Corrugated ZINCALUME® with an AquaGuard potable liner. Strength from profile rather than plate thickness, which makes it economical at farm and estate volumes.
Dura Tank
PosMac® Zn-Al-Mg alloy in flat panel construction, plate to 12 mm, liner optional. The best cost per kilolitre for large commercial storage.
Home Tank
Factory assembled Chromadek® delivered ready for plumbing connection, for homes, estates and off grid supply.

Approvals and standards
Aquadam holds ASIB approval for its fire water tanks, which matters because a sprinkler installation is signed off as a whole — an unapproved tank can hold up certification of the entire system. See fire protection water tanks. The Rhino Tank range is engineered to AWWA D103, the American Water Works Association standard for factory coated bolted steel tanks.
How we deliver
Aquadam supplies at four levels — factory collection, site delivery, supply and install, and full turnkey — each carrying a matched warranty of one to ten years.
