Steel Tank Pioneers
Back in the early 1990s, Aquadam emerged from the swimming pool industry when Gert van Lochem began assisting farmers with their leaking farm dams. Recognizing the crucial role of water in farming operations, Aquadam initially constructed farm dams using gunite. However, under the leadership of Gert's son, Ronald van Lochem, the company has evolved and honed its focus on the design, manufacturing, and assembly of steel dams.
Today, Aquadam offers a diverse range of steel tanks that cater to various sectors, including agriculture, aquaculture, mining, manufacturing, municipal infrastructure, and fire suppression. Ronald's forward-thinking approach has driven Aquadam's growth, transforming it from a small stream into a major river. Consequently, our tanks can now be found across South Africa and Africa, serving rural, commercial, and industrial areas.

Gert van Lochem founded the company following many years working in the swimming pool industry.
Ronald van Lochem's son joined the company after serving in the military for 9 years
... he then revolutionized the industry by introducing steel water tanks and implementing a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.
Ronald succeeded his father as the leader of the company, and under his guidance, it flourished into what it is today.
The Aquadam team expanded their operations by adding a new Fusion Bond Epoxy coating line for the Rhino Tank.
