Compare the Aquadam Steel Water Tank Range
Aquadam builds four steel water tank systems. They are not four price points of the same tank — they use different steel, different coatings and different construction, and each is specified for a different duty. This page sets them side by side.
The right choice comes down to four questions: what the water is, how much of it you need to hold, what happens if the tank fails, and how long the asset has to last. Coating specification usually decides it.

Which tank for which job
Choose the Rhino Tank when failure is expensive
Fusion bonded epoxy is applied to both faces of the steel and needs no liner, so there is no liner to puncture, age or replace. That matters most where the water is chlorinated or chemically aggressive, where the tank is hard to take out of service, and where the consequences of losing storage are measured in production or public supply rather than inconvenience. This is the specification for municipal reservoirs, mine process water and ASIB approved fire reserves.
Choose the Smart Tank for farm and estate storage
The corrugated profile gives strength from shape rather than plate thickness, which makes it economical at agricultural volumes. Paired with an AquaGuard potable liner it is the usual choice for irrigation, livestock and game farms, lodges and commercial estates.
Choose the Dura Tank on cost per kilolitre
A PosMac® Zn-Al-Mg alloy shell in flat panel construction, with the liner as an option rather than a requirement. Plate thickness runs to 12 mm, so it covers large commercial storage where FBE is not warranted — schools, hospitals, warehousing and backup supply.
Choose the Home Tank for a house or estate
Delivered factory assembled in Chromadek®, ready for plumbing connection, with no site build and no liner. Sized for rainwater harvesting, municipal backup and off grid homes.
