Steel Water Tank Kits — Delivered in 10 Working Days
The question every customer asks first is how long. On a Fast-track kit the answer is a number, not a range: 10 working days from the day your deposit clears, on any of twelve sizes from 42 800 to 1 071 800 litres.
An ordinary Aquadam tank is engineered around your site, so its lead time depends on the capacity, the region and the civil design. Fast-track is the opposite approach — twelve standard sizes, already engineered and held as stock, so the only work left is kitting and loading. If one of the twelve fits your requirement, it is the quickest route to water on site.
How long does a steel water tank take?
Ten working days, measured from cleared deposit to kit ready ex-works Pretoria — the same ten days for the smallest kit and the largest.

Ten working days is about two calendar weeks once weekends are counted, and public holidays push it out. If you need water on site by a fixed date, tell us the date when you enquire and we will work backwards through the deposit, the ten days, transport and erection, and tell you honestly whether it holds.
After the ten days: transport is quoted by distance to your site, and the tank bolts together without a crane, so erection is usually the shortest part of the programme. We can erect it, or you can — see delivery, installation and inspection.
How it works
1. Choose your size
Pick the kit closest to the capacity you need. Twelve standard sizes, all pre-engineered — there is no specification exercise and no waiting for a design.
2. Order and pay the deposit
We issue the invoice against the fixed kit price. The 10 working days start when your deposit clears.
3. Collect or take delivery
Your kit is ready within 10 working days. Collect ex-works from Waltloo, Pretoria, or we quote delivery to your site by distance.
The range at a glance
The twelve kits are three shell diameters in four heights. Drawn to scale below, with a 1.75 m figure for reference. Every one of them is the same 10 working days.
What the kit includes
Every Fast-track kit is priced as a complete unit. One number, not a shell plus a list of extras:
- Corrugated ZINCALUME® steel shell, bolt-together panels
- Dome roof
- Internal and external ladders
- AquaGuard reinforced PVC liner, tailored to the tank
- Standard fittings: inlet and outlet flanges, overflow and scour
What is quoted separately
So there is no confusion at invoice stage, the kit price is ex-works Pretoria and excludes VAT. The following are not in it:
- Delivery — quoted by distance to your site
- Installation — quoted separately, or erect it yourself
- Foundation — a concrete ring beam or engineer-specified base is required, and is not supplied by Aquadam
The twelve Fast-track kits
Diameter and height are the tank shell. Capacity is working capacity, allowing for freeboard. All twelve carry the same 10 working day lead time.

Fast-track storage starts at R0.50 per litre, excluding VAT.
Price per litre falls as the kits get larger, so if your requirement sits between two sizes it is usually worth pricing the larger one. Ask us for the current kit price — we will confirm it with stock and a delivery quote to your site.

Fast-track kits are intended for farm and irrigation, game, mining, industrial and commercial water storage. Payment and guarantee

Pay the full invoice within 7 days of order and deduct 2.5% from the kit price.
Guarantee
Aquadam issues a material warranty against manufacturing defects on panels, coatings and fittings with every kit.
The 10-year structural guarantee is issued once Aquadam has carried out the pre-fill inspection on the erected tank. If you collect the kit and erect it yourself without that inspection, the kit carries the 12-month material warranty only and no structural guarantee. How long does a Fast-track steel water tank take?
Ten working days, from the day your deposit clears to the day the kit is ready ex-works in Waltloo, Pretoria. Ten working days is roughly two calendar weeks once weekends are counted. It is the same ten days for the smallest 42 800 litre kit and the largest 1 071 800 litre kit, because all twelve sizes are pre-engineered and held as stock.
When does the ten days start?
When your deposit clears, not when you enquire and not when the quote goes out. If you want water on site by a fixed date, work backwards from that date and allow for the deposit clearing, the ten working days, transport to your site, and erection.
Why is a Fast-track kit quicker than an ordinary Aquadam tank?
Because there is nothing left to work out. An engineered tank is designed around your site, so its lead time depends on capacity, region and the civil design, and we quote it per project. Fast-track is a fixed range of twelve standard sizes, already engineered and already specified, so the only work left is kitting and loading.
Can I get one faster than ten working days?
We do not promise less than ten. If your project is genuinely time-critical, tell us the date when you enquire and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable rather than commit and miss.
Is the tank standing and holding water after ten days?
No. Ten working days is your kit, ready to collect or dispatch. After that comes transport to your site, and erection. The tank bolts together and needs no crane, so erection is usually the shortest part of the programme.
What normally delays water on site?
The foundation. Every kit needs a concrete ring beam or an engineer-specified base, and that is by others, not supplied by Aquadam. It has to be built and cured before the tank goes up. Start the foundation while the kit is being prepared and the two run in parallel instead of end to end.
What if none of the twelve sizes fits my requirement?
Then a Fast-track kit is the wrong product and we will say so. Aquadam engineers tanks to almost any capacity, and for potable water, fire storage under ASIB, or effluent and process duty the requirement should be engineered rather than taken from stock. Lead time on those is quoted per project.
